Giants Tim Lincecum Wins NL Cy Young Award

The San Francisco Giants Tim Lincecum won the National League Cy Young Award. Lincecum, standing at only 5’11” and 160 pounds, won 23 of the 32 first place ballots and beat out Brandon Webb of the Arizona Diamondbacks and Johann Santana of the New York Mets. Lincecum finished the season 18-5 on one of the worst teams in all of MLB baseball. Lincecum had a sparkling 2.62 ERA and he struck out a Major-League best 265 batters. Although Lincecum has added a few pitches to his rotation, his best pitch is his 97 MPH fastball.
