Jeff Kent has announced his retirement today after 17 years in the MLB. The 40 year old second basemen had a very emotional goodbye during his press conference. “I believe I’ve played this game right and I believe I’m leaving this game right,” he said. Kent leaves as the home run leader among second baseman with 351. he has 74 more than Ryne Sandberg. Kent has a .290 career batting average, 377 homers, 1,518 RBIs.
