Sox stalled
No Comments
Talks between the Chicago White Sox and outfielder Bobby Abreu have stalled this week after the team offered a possible one year $8 million deal. According to a source, the Sox have some interest in Abreu and adding a pitcher, but until they trade Jermaine Dye and his $11.5 million salary they can’t make any moves. The Seattle Times reported that Abreu is now open to a one year deal but is looking for a base of at least $10 million. Abreu, 34, is a .300 career hitter in 13 season, Abreu, Pujols, and A Rod are the only MLB players who have driven in at least 100 runs in each of the past six seasons.
